IN Assassin's Creed: Syndicate we will have to face again Crafting system.
Crafting system This game is quite simple and intuitive. Menu item Manufacturing becomes available after execution last task V 3rd part story called "Freedom of speech"
Menu Manufacturing
divided into two sections. In the first section, entitled
, you will find a variety of uniforms and weapons available for crafting.
Second section -
- Contains improvements for consumables such as throwing knives, bullets etc.
Where to get resources for crafting
The following materials are required to craft most items: metal, leather, silk. You can get them in several ways:
- Open , which are scattered in abundance throughout the streets of London. In addition to money, you can often find the crafting materials listed above in them.
- Do the so-called Gainful activity - carry out raids and robberies on carriages, trains, carts and ships (on the Thames). The more difficult the enemy, the more resources you will receive as a reward
- Use Helix Credits to purchase resource packs from the game menu.
To craft some high-level items you will need Unique resources . Such as Rhodium, Sea silk etc. Getting these resources is not easy.
Each of them exists in single quantities. And to receive it you need to perform a certain game action. For example, open a specific Locked (golden) chest or reach a certain Level of Devotion with one of yours .
The same applies to , which are sometimes required for the manufacture of a particular item.
Follow the links to find detailed instructions on where and how to find everything. Unique resources (not ready) And Blueprints for the manufacture of and everyone (not completely ready).
For those who don't like to bother with searching Unique resources And Drawings , Ubisoft provided the opportunity to purchase all this for Helix credits , in the corresponding section of the main menu of the game.
What items to craft
Our advice - don’t neglect crafting! Check the menu often Manufacturing
and check the possibility of manufacturing a particular item.
After all, the level of your Assassin is not a panacea, and during a battle, newly created weapons and uniforms will not leave the enemy any chance.
First of all, pay attention to things that improve your parameter Mortality , allowing you to finish battles a little faster each time.
Weapons in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate are divided into four categories: kukris, blade canes, brass knuckles and firearms. And are available to both characters without any restrictions. The full collection consists of more than four dozen samples. Weapons also affect the characteristics characters and allows you to effectively fight and resist enemies. Simultaneously with firearms and throwing weapons, you can use one of three melee weapons. Ammunition supplies are replenished from merchants or when examining the bodies of killed enemies; access to new weapons appears as you progress through the main plot of the game. and secondary tasks related to the requests of numerous supporters. Weapons are made through the equipment window (key) and require money; maps with the location of chests are sold in different areas of the city from merchants throughout London, which simplifies the search.
Exclusive weapons can be purchased for free or for Uplay points in the Ubisoft club; for this you need a licensed version of the game and access to servers, otherwise you will not be able to collect a complete collection. All unlocked weapons are added to the equipment in the main menu of the game, and you can change them here. It is better to start collecting a collection after completing the main plot, when allied markers appear on the map and all locations are open for free exploration of London.

Equipment plays an important role. Without buying and upgrading it, you risk dying in an unequal battle, and then you will have to go through the same mission over and over again. In this guide, we will show you how you can purchase new equipment in Assassins Creed Syndicate, and also tell you what types of upgrades and weapons are best to take.
Types of equipment
Equipment is divided into several main types: Suits, Firearms, Belts, Weapons, Assassin's Bracer. The colors that we decided not to include in this list are an aesthetic part of the game, that is, they will not give you any advantages in the game. Each of these items can be purchased and improved, some will give an increase to the basic skills of the characters, while others will make it possible to carry more consumable items. As the game progresses, more and more types of equipment will be revealed to you, which you must purchase; they will directly affect the main parameters of the main characters, increasing their agility, strength, stealth and defense.
A long time ago, the Nizari, adherents of one of the branches of Shiite Islam, were called assassins. Their warriors brought the art of surveillance and secret killing to such a height that the term “assassin” began to be applied to all specialists in this matter - regardless of nationality. If you want to feel like a real assassin, feel the weight of a hidden blade and learn how to run along vertical walls, play Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. It's hard to imagine something more realistic.
The new part of the legendary series is significantly different from the previous ones - primarily in that the developers moved the heroes to Great Britain during the Industrial Revolution, creating a real steampunk atmosphere. The game is released on October 23, 2015 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, and then on November 19, 2015 on Microsoft Windows (PC).
So, 1868, dirty and menacing London, the capital of the empire, the world industrial center and at the same time a monstrous cesspool full of all kinds of scum, gangs, scoundrels and madmen. The main character of the game, Jacob Fry, together with his sister Evie (whose character is also playable), fights for justice, leading a whole syndicate of professional assassins. The aesthetics of the game are amazing - this is a real steampunk, in which British street fights are combined with oriental lightness, heroes jump from bridges onto the roofs of moving trains, an elegant top hat is replaced by a secretive hood, and a huge metropolis of the mid-19th century thunders and smokes around.
But that's not what we're talking about. We decided to compare the assassin’s equipment from the game with the real weapons of the assassins of that time and analyze how Assassin’s Creed Syndicate corresponds to historical realities. Of course, this is a fantastic game, but it is based on a real story, which means there is something to compare with.
So, before us is Jacob Fry, who arrived in London in 1868 with his sister Evie.
Note that in 1824 the first law was issued in Great Britain restricting the carrying of personal weapons, which was tightened several times and, as amended in 1862, completely prohibited the carrying and use of any (!) small arms or bladed weapons by private individuals. Interestingly, gun licensing was introduced literally in 1870, which made it easier to buy and carry – but at the time of the game, guns really couldn’t be carried openly. So here Jacob Fry’s secrecy is fully consistent with historical realities.
His equipment includes: - Assassin's bracer with a hidden blade; — shenbiao, Chinese edged weapon (in the bracer); — a blowgun that shoots darts (in the bracer); - kukri knife; - sword-cane; - revolver; — brass knuckles (in the bracer); - throwing knives.
Evie Frye has similar equipment, only the personal qualities and abilities of the assassins differ (for example, Evie can become almost invisible, masquerading as the environment, and Jacob instantly recognizes anyone he meets as an enemy or a friend).
So, if you watched the gameplay video, let's move on to studying the assassins' weapons. Some of the gadgets that Jack and Evie Fry wield require detailed consideration.
Shengbiao
Type: steel arms Country of origin: China Shenbiao is a long, 3 to 5 meters, rope with a heavy dart at the end. The length of the dart is from 10 to 20 centimeters, and it weighs about 200 grams. Historically, the shenbiao was used exclusively as a weapon - a dart was thrown at the enemy, and then returned back with a jerk of the rope. In close combat, piercing blows were delivered with a dart. But history has made its own adjustments. Since about the 16th century, the use of shenbiao by assassins has been known not only as a weapon, but also as a means of transportation. The dart began to serve as a load and a hook - it was thrown onto high obstacles in order to then climb up the rope. The Shengbiao in the game is slightly different from the classic one. The shot shows that the dart is very short and is essentially a tip with feathers - this allows it to cling to various surfaces.
In the game, shenbiao is mainly used to instantly hit roofs and other high points. You can also use it to pierce an opponent and pull him towards you if he is in a place inaccessible to a direct blow (for example, on the roof).
In general, Frye's use of shenbiao does not contradict historical realities. In light of the active emigration of the Chinese to Europe in the mid-19th century, such weapons could well have fallen into the hands of the British. And then it’s a matter of practice.
Revolver
Type: weapon Country of origin: USA In previous parts of Assassin's Creed there were no revolvers. Only the industrial revolution and the time of action (1868) made it possible to arm the assassin with more modern small arms. The specific model of the revolver is not named anywhere, but judging by the shape and reloading speed, it is a Remington Model 1858, a classic American “gun” of that time. At that time, precisely because of its speed and ease of use, the Remington was much more popular than the Colt and was widely used both in the USA and in other countries. In particular, it was in service with the British army. Fry shoots from a revolver during the chase (by the way, control and racing on carriages is a new and very adrenaline-pumping element of the game):
The six-shot revolver weighs 1.27 kg and is quite accurate at a distance of up to 70 meters. Its use by an assassin is quite justified.
Kukri
Type: steel arms Country of origin: Nepal Kukri (or khukri) is the national weapon used by the Nepalese Gurkhas. It has a curve and one-sided sharpening on the inside (which is why it is often confused with a machete, which has a completely different shape and origin). The type of kukri that Fry uses is called a bunspati - it is a simple combat or working knife with one curve, devoid of elaborate decorations, and is quite light and convenient. Here you can see how an assassin fights with the help of his kukri: Other varieties include katrimoras (ceremonial kukri), bhojpuri (working kukri with a very thick blade) and janavar katne (heavy combat kukri more than 40 cm in length). In 1868, Nepal was a British colony, kukris were actively supplied to Europe, and the presence of such a knife in an assassin’s possession was completely justified.Sword cane
Type: steel arms Country of origin: Germany Cane swords appeared in the middle of the 18th century and were widespread in Europe until the end of the 19th century. Similar weapons existed in Asia (in particular, in Japan), but the origin of European and Asian blades is not connected, these are parallel inventions.Hidden blades were considered a gentleman's weapon and were especially popular during the Victorian era. It is interesting that such swords were also actively worn by ladies who studied fencing, since the open carrying of weapons by women was not encouraged by etiquette. Jacob Fry's cane sword, in addition to its classic shape, can also become a kind of scythe:
Today, cane swords are prohibited in most countries of the world as concealed weapons, but an assassin, of course, could not do without such a thing.
Assassin's Bracer: Blowgun and Hidden Blade
Type: weapon Country of origin: Sweden Until the mid-20th century, pneumatic weapons were called wind weapons. Fry's pistol is very compact, it is built into his bracers and has no direct analogues in the real world. The technology itself dates back to the second half of the 16th century - it developed more or less in parallel with traditional gunpowder weapons. The only catch is that in the 19th century there were no compact blowguns. Blowguns were exclusive and rather cumbersome weapons, the main advantage of which was noiselessness. The first commercial blowgun (about the size of a small gun) was produced by W.F. Markham Co only in 1888. Before that, was the Austrian Windb rifle a more or less popular model? chse model 1770. Of course, there was no talk of any pistols built into the bracers.
However, such a device could have been made to special order even at that time. Moreover, according to the plot of the series of games, assassins began using such pistols back in the 13th century. But honestly, this is still a game, not a documentary about the history of weapons! A blowgun in your sleeve is cool!
